In the 2026-2027 academic year, a new specialized teaching model will cover 31 general education institutions in Baku.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Baku City Education Department (BŞTİ), the implementation of the new specialized teaching model will begin in full secondary schools No. 313, 136, 71, 88, 182, 290, 106, 116, 337, 96, 239, 26, 320, 114, 263, 194, 253, 21, 283, 196, 45, 19, 227, 135, 302, 104, 51, 144, 262, as well as school-lyceums No. 70 and 299 in the capital.
It was stated that the registration process for students and teachers for the new specialized teaching model intended for grades X-XI in full secondary general education institutions under the BŞTİ continues:
“The new specialized teaching model serves to strengthen the academic role of the school at the full secondary education level and to organize the preparation process for higher education more effectively within the school. The main goal of the model is to ensure that students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for admission to higher education institutions through an intensive teaching process organized at school, without the need for additional preparatory courses. Within the framework of the new model, the teaching process will be organized in a more purposeful manner according to specialization directions, and special attention will be paid to the development of students’ knowledge and skills in subjects corresponding to their chosen fields of study. This approach will create conditions for them to prepare for their future educational goals in a more systematic and effective way.”
Students of grades X and XI of full secondary general education institutions under the BŞTİ can participate in the registration process. In order to improve the quality of the teaching process, teachers with advanced pedagogical experience are also being involved in the new specialized teaching model. Professionalism, pedagogical performance indicators, and other criteria affecting the quality of teaching are taken into account during the selection.
