During her visit to Kyiv, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen was forced to cut short a briefing with journalists and move to a shelter due to an air raid siren.
“Elchi” reports that the “Euractiv” publication wrote about this.
The publication wrote: “At the luxurious ‘InterContinental’ hotel… while Ursula von der Leyen was reporting on the day’s events, the sounding siren forced her and the journalists accompanying her to hide in an underground shelter.”
Von der Leyen previously arrived in Kyiv for another visit and announced that new initiatives are being prepared to integrate the defense industries of the European Union (EU) and Ukraine.
She also announced that the EU and Ukraine are establishing a new defense-industrial partnership focused on drones.
