A meeting was held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population with the International Monetary Fund’s mission to Azerbaijan.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry, at the meeting with the mission led by Anna Bordon, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Anar Aliyev, provided information about the achievements of the social reforms carried out in our country in recent years. As an important component of these reforms, the sustainable growth dynamics achieved in pensions and the steps taken to improve the insurance-pension system in accordance with advanced global experience were highlighted.
It was stated that the pension capital recorded in individual accounts is also increased from the beginning of each year, and that a digital infrastructure for services in the fields of labor, employment, and social protection has been established in recent years. It was noted that mechanisms for the proactive appointment of social payments, including pensions, are currently operating in our country. Furthermore, the application of humanistic approaches in the pension provision system and the steps taken to increase accessibility to this system were discussed. Positive results in the development trends of the labor market and the expansion of the coverage of the social insurance system were highlighted.
At the meeting, issues of future cooperation regarding the development of the pension provision system and the exchange of information on updating forecasts in this area were discussed.
