Today, Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that the official visit of Slovak President P. Pellegrini to Azerbaijan and the talks held between the heads of state of the two countries in Shusha within the framework of the visit will provide a significant impetus to the development of Azerbaijan-Slovakia strategic partnership relations.
The importance of the participation of Slovak companies in the restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, especially in the construction of Bash Garvand village in the Aghdam district, was noted.
The initiative of the Slovak side to build a full secondary school building in Bash Garvand village and donate it to the Azerbaijani side was highly appreciated, and gratitude was expressed for this.
Satisfaction was expressed with the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia in political, trade-economic, investment, energy, transport, humanitarian, and other fields.
During the meeting, prospects for further expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest and implementing new joint projects were discussed.

Peter Pellegrini discussed with Ali Asadov the prospects for deepening trade and investment, strengthening infrastructure connectivity, and increasing the role of Slovak companies in Azerbaijan’s large-scale modernization efforts.
Peter Pellegrini noted that energy security was also one of the main priorities in the discussions: “Our cooperation in the field of energy security reflects our shared commitment to building sustainable and reliable partnerships. Our goal is clear: to transform strong political dialogue into practical cooperation that creates long-term value for our economies, opens new opportunities for our businesses, and brings real benefits to our citizens.”
