President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
“Elchi” reports that the letter reads:
“Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of the national holiday of the French Republic, I extend my congratulations to you and your entire people.
Our recent telephone conversations and the fruitful discussions we held during our meeting in Copenhagen last year regarding the issues on the Azerbaijan-France agenda, the current state of our bilateral relations, and future prospects give reason to say that a new era has begun in the history of our interstate relations.
I believe that for the benefit of our peoples, we will continue our joint efforts in a spirit of partnership to develop our relations, which have deep historical roots and rich traditions, in the economic, cultural, educational, and other areas of mutual interest.
On this festive day, I wish the people of France peace and prosperity.”
