The FIFA Foundation will allocate $1 million to help those affected by the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.

“During this incredibly difficult time of trial, the people of Venezuela have the full support of the global football family. Football has a unique ability to unite and provide hope, especially in times of crisis,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
As of July 9, the earthquake that occurred on June 24 has resulted in 3,889 deaths and 16,740 injuries. 17,907 people have been left homeless. 190 buildings were completely destroyed, and another 856 sustained serious damage. During the search and rescue operation, it was possible to save 6,462 people.
