In January-April of this year, Azerbaijan exported 67 thousand 346 tons of cotton fiber worth 92.96 million US dollars.
According to calculations by “Elchi” based on data from the State Statistical Committee, this is 51% more in value terms and 64% more in quantity compared to the same period of 2025.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold products worth 89.76 million US dollars to Turkey (56% more compared to the figure from 1 year ago) amounting to 64 thousand 855 tons (+67%), to Iran worth 3 million US dollars (+2.2 times) amounting to 2 thousand 364 tons (+2.6 times), and to Russia worth 174 million US dollars (+5 times) amounting to 126 tons (+6 times).
In 2025, 95.4% of the 109 thousand 295 tons of cotton fiber exported from Azerbaijan accounted for Turkey.
