We have been informed that work is underway on the road and railway project for the section of the Zangezur corridor passing through Armenia.
“Elchi” reports that Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated this in his remarks to journalists.
The Minister noted that one of the very important outcomes of last year’s Washington summit was the agreement on the section of the Zangezur corridor passing through Armenia.
“The US also supports this. Negotiations in this direction are being conducted between the US and Armenia. However, at the same time, the entry and exit points of TRIPP are on Azerbaijani territory. Therefore, we are being kept informed by our partners from the US. The promises given to us are that the process is ongoing and that it is currently in the stage of document preparation. Our expectation is that there will be further news in this direction within the coming months.”
