The US Department of Energy has increased its forecast for domestic oil production in 2026 by 60,000 barrels per day, reaching 13.78 million barrels.

It was noted that, based on the results of 2025, the EIA estimated US oil production at 13.59 million barrels per day, which is a new record in the country’s history.

Furthermore, the Department of Energy has sharply reduced its average price forecast for Brent crude oil for the current year by 14%, lowering it from $95.39 to $81.91 per barrel. According to its forecast, the price of Brent in 2027 will average $64.76 per barrel, which will be due to the continued accumulation of global oil reserves.
