A peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict is closer than previously thought.
“Elchi” reports that US President Donald Trump stated this to journalists at the White House.
“I think we are closer to a settlement on this issue than people think,” the US leader said.
Trump also expressed confidence that both Moscow and Kyiv are focused on resolving the conflict.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin wants this to end. I can tell you that with absolute certainty. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also actually wants this to end now,” the US leader stated.
Trump added that this issue will be discussed at the NATO summit in Ankara: “I think we will achieve it (peace – ed.),” Trump added.
