A delegation led by Major General Burhan Aktas, Deputy Rector of the National Defense University (NDU) of the Republic of Türkiye, including the heads and faculty members of the Land Forces, Air Force, and Naval Forces institutes of the brotherly country, as well as students of the “Staff Management Course” held at these educational institutions, is on a visit to our country.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Defense, the guests first visited the graves of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor, as well as the Alley of Martyrs and the Turkish Martyrdom.
Meeting with the delegation in accordance with the visit plan, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, emphasized that the relations between our countries, based on the principles of friendship, brotherhood, and alliance, make a significant contribution to the development of military education.
It was noted that the expansion of mutual experience exchange between Azerbaijan and Türkiye is of great importance in terms of increasing the professional knowledge and skills of military personnel.
Major General B. Aktas noted the importance of such visits and meetings in developing our relations based on mutual trust and friendship.
During the meeting, measures taken and prospective plans for expanding cooperation in the field of military education were discussed.
The parties also held a broad exchange of views on the implementation of joint projects for the training of professional personnel and other issues of mutual interest.
