Championship in multi-sport events held in the Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations

A championship in multi-sport events was held among the military units of the Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, organized by the command of the Civil Defense Troops.

This was reported to elchi by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and territorial integrity of our country.

Speakers at the event spoke about the great work carried out in the field of sports development in our country by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and noted that Azerbaijan is recognized globally as a sports nation.

A total of 10 teams and 44 athletes participated in the competition, which was officiated by judges from the Physical Training and Sports Department of the Civil Defense Troops. The athletes competed in both individual and team categories in events including 100m and 1000m running, swimming, pneumatic pistol shooting, kettlebell lifting, and pull-ups.

In the intense competition, the Shirvan team took first place, the Gabala team took second, and the Ganja team took third place in the team standings.

Based on individual performance, soldier Bagirli Farhad Nahid oglu took first place, soldier Bagirov Asim Ceyhunovich took second, and Senior Lieutenant Asadov Elkhan Ramis oglu took third place.

At the end, the winners were awarded cups, medals, and diplomas.
