South Korea’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, Pak Ki-chan, has left Kyiv and returned to his country.
elchi reports, citing the “Yonhap” agency, that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea has confirmed this.
Official Seoul has stated that it is ready to continue consultations with the Ukrainian side for a constructive solution to the existing problems.
It should be noted that this step is considered a serious event in the history of South Korean diplomacy. The last time Seoul recalled its ambassador to another country as a sign of protest was in 2008 during the territorial dispute around the Tokto Islands with Japan.
