On June 22, the 20th session of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states conference will begin its work in Baku.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis, the session, which will be attended by parliamentary delegations from more than 40 countries, speakers from more than 10 countries, and representatives of 10 international organizations, will feature discussions on the topic “Promoting sustainable and inclusive economic development in OIC member states through parliamentary cooperation.” More than 400 delegates are expected to participate in the event.
Within the framework of the event, meetings of the organization’s General Committee, Executive Committee, Association of Secretaries General, as well as committees on Political and International Relations, Economic and Environmental Affairs, Legal and Cultural Affairs and Dialogue among Civilizations and Religions, Human Rights, Women and Family Affairs, and other structures of the organization will be held, and positions on documents on the agenda will be expressed.
The session will conclude on June 25.
