The opening ceremony of the “Caucasian Eagle – 2026” joint tactical-special exercise with the participation of special forces from Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia was held at the Mukhrovani military base near Tbilisi.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Defense, the event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia, Faig Guliyev, representatives of the military attaché office, as well as high-ranking guests from other participating countries.
In accordance with the plan, the memory of the military personnel who sacrificed their lives for the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Georgia was first commemorated with a minute of silence, and the national anthems of all three countries were played while their state flags were raised.
Speakers at the opening ceremony welcomed the guests and emphasized that such exercises play an important role in terms of planning joint activities and exchanging mutual experience, wishing the participants success.
It was noted that this exercise, which aims to further strengthen cooperation between the three partner countries in the field of security and defense in the region, is of special importance in terms of expanding the combat readiness capabilities of the units.
