The relations between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus have a special character.
elchi reports that this was stated by the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Ünal Üstel, at a press conference held in Baku on the occasion of Northern Cyprus Culture Day.
Ünal Üstel stated that these relations are not just interstate cooperation, but ties based on common history, culture, and brotherhood.
“Today we have gathered here for the sake of our common future and shared goals. The relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus are not ordinary interstate ties. This is a bond of hearts, a common destiny,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
He noted that the solidarity formed between Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Northern Cyprus is an important example of the unity of the Turkic world: “We express these relations in one sentence: One nation, three states. Turkey and Azerbaijan are our closest brothers.”
Ünal Üstel added that the existing friendship and mutual support between the peoples will contribute to the development of cooperation in the coming years: “Our common values and brotherly relations are among our greatest assets to be passed on to future generations.”
It should be noted that the cultural day held in Icherisheher showcases the national-cultural heritage, art, music, dances, cuisine, and tourism potential of Northern Cyprus.
