At today’s meeting of the extraordinary session of the Milli Majlis, the draft law “On the execution of the 2025 state budget” was adopted in the first reading.
“Elchi” reports that last year, budget revenues amounted to 39 billion 184.6 million manats, which is 5.4% more than the previous year and 2.2% more than the forecast. Budget expenditures amounted to 38 billion 604.6 million manats, which is 2.4% more than the previous year and 6.8% less than the forecast.
During the year, the budget surplus amounted to 580 million manats, or 0.45% of GDP. The surplus was caused by the over-fulfillment of the forecast for budget revenues, as well as the fact that budget organizations executed their expenditures 2 billion 803 million manats less than the forecast.
