Every war carries very serious risks, and it is impossible to predict it within a single geography or set of rules.
elchi reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated this at a joint press conference held after the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia in Istanbul.
The Minister stated that the Azerbaijani state has always emphasized the importance of steps to stop the war, find a diplomatic solution, at least achieve a ceasefire in the initial stage, and subsequently reach a lasting peace: “Today, we are witnessing the expansion of the geography of the Russia-Ukraine war, and we are observing its tragic effects. Three days ago, as a result of a drone attack on 2 cargo ships, 4 Azerbaijani citizens were killed and 4 were injured. As long as this war continues, no one is insured against such incidents. It is very important to stop military conflicts. This brings great disasters first and foremost to the parties to the conflict, and at the same time, it creates serious threats to neighboring countries, countries in the region, and globally in a broader geography.”
The Minister also called on Azerbaijani citizens to stay away from military conflict zones and to strictly observe safety measures there.
“As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, we regularly make such appeals,” Jeyhun Bayramov added.
