Mikheil Saakashvili: Russia plans to militarily intervene in Armenia

The former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, issued a statement on his social media account, stating that his country is facing a serious military-political threat and calling on the people to take action.

elchi reports that the former head of state recalled that the European Union (EU) has begun membership negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.

He emphasized that Georgia, which was once the leader of the region in this process, has lost this historic chance due to the personal interests of the current government.

According to M. Saakashvili, the Russian leadership is planning a military intervention in Armenia to block the West’s path to the Caucasus:

“Within the framework of this operation, Russia can also completely occupy Georgia without any resistance. The only way to save the country is to urgently sign a defense pact with Turkey and Azerbaijan, but the current leadership in official Tbilisi is not doing so. This is the only way out of the current situation; as soon as Russian activity is observed at the borders, the people must remove the current rulers, release political prisoners, establish a provisional government, and appeal to neighboring states and Europe for help.”
