It is planned to create an artificial intelligence (AI)-based assistant for primary healthcare physicians in Tatarstan.
elchi reports that Ayrat Farrakhov, acting rector of Kazan State Medical University (KSMU), announced this in an interview with the “BUSINESS Online” publication.
At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the leadership of Tatarstan, and developers from Innopolis signed an agreement on the creation of an AI-based program that will assist doctors in the field of primary healthcare.
“We held a strategic session with the leadership of Innopolis, attended by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko and Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov. We will sign a contract with Innopolis. Furthermore, we are creating an AI doctor’s assistant to accelerate decision-making, diagnostics, and treatment at the primary healthcare level,” Farrakhov explained.
He emphasized that the project is initially planned to be implemented in the healthcare system of Tatarstan. After that, the project will be scaled up, and the AI assistant will be sold to other regions of the country with the aim of generating revenue for the republic’s budget.
