A problem has arisen in the new contract negotiations between Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior and the club.

It is alleged that although the Madrid representative wants to extend the contract with the 25-year-old Brazilian winger, the parties have not yet been able to reach a common denominator. The main problem in the negotiations is related to the player’s salary demand.
Vinicius has asked the management to raise his salary to the same level as the team’s highest-paid player, Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid’s management, however, intends to monitor the player’s performance before accepting this demand.
According to the information, his performance in the 2026 World Cup could also play a decisive role in determining the terms of Vinicius’s new contract. The Brazilian star’s performance at the mundial could strengthen or weaken his position at the negotiating table.
It should be noted that Vinicius Junior appeared in 53 matches in all competitions during the 2025/2026 season. He scored 22 goals and provided 14 assists in these games.
Currently, the player receives a net annual salary of approximately 15 million euros.
