The Main State Traffic Police Department has released information regarding the serious road accident that occurred yesterday.
According to the information provided to elchi by the department, on June 2, at around 23:00, at the 90th kilometer of the Alat-Astara highway, in the territory of Khirmandali village, a “Ford Transit” vehicle driven by Aladdin Babayev collided with a “Mercedes” truck driven by Keramat Agayev moving in front of it. As a result of the accident, the driver of the “Ford” lost his life at the scene. An investigation into the incident is underway.
The collision of vehicles moving in the same direction and in the same lane in this manner indicates that the drivers were tired, sleepy, or engaged in activities that distracted their attention while driving. It is assumed that the driver fell asleep behind the wheel in the mentioned traffic accident as well.
