National mobilization

We are living in a historical period where exceptional opportunities are emerging for the Azerbaijani state and its people. We are living in such a time and such incredible opportunities have arisen that the issue of evaluating them correctly must become an objective necessity for every responsible citizen who thinks about the future. As individuals and as a society as a whole, we are living in a tense period where all the potential we possess must be mobilized, saying “everything for the Motherland, everything for the state.” In fact, President Ilham Aliyev had warned society about this issue after our historic Victory. “We – I already said this during the Second Karabakh War and during the anti-terror operation – moved such stones that were considered immovable that they will not forgive us for this, we must know this.” The aforementioned idea voiced by President Ilham Aliyev at the inauguration ceremony in 2024 is a call for “national mobilization” in the true sense of the word, addressed to all patriots.

These thoughts were included in the article titled “National mobilization” by political scientist Asif Adil. Moderator.az presents the article.

What is mentioned is by no means the product of any theoretical considerations; it is a reality, and also a special part of the “new reality.” If you pay attention, the policy of “double standards” applied against our native homeland for many years, as well as the pressure and information provocations experienced, have not decreased at all after the Victory. On the contrary, their number has increased many times over. Sometimes, these pressures even occur in an aggressive form.

Without going into all the heavy details, let us just recall the injustices experienced during the past period with a comma: diplomatic pressures, military threats, economic provocations, “dirty” information manipulations, demagogic hysteria aimed at disrupting political stability, emotional political rhetoric calculated for the ideological fragmentation of society, and much more. We are all witnesses to the fact that today there is pressure against our country from various addresses. Of course, if President Ilham Aliyev’s professional policy and principled will, as well as the environment of national solidarity experienced in society, had not stood against all these destructive manifestations listed, the fate of our statehood would have been in question. It is no coincidence that the strategic targets of the information provocations of hateful forces have always been precisely the principled political will and national solidarity experienced in society that we mentioned. Undoubtedly, the scene we describe makes the mobilization of patriotic national forces inevitable.

Without hesitation, we can also note that the task of ensuring conditional “national mobilization” is primarily a matter belonging to the ideological plane. In the current context, these words of President Ilham Aliyev carry a special meaning: “Of course, when we talk about victory in war, it does not just mean money and even weapons. It is about fighting spirit.” The main factor that creates and supports the “spirit” mentioned by the head of our state is again ideology. Therefore, the inviolability of our ideological borders must be absolutely ensured, and showing softness here is unnecessary. For the inviolability of these borders, national mobilization is already becoming a necessity.

National mobilization is also an important factor that makes it possible to conduct an independent policy. It is no coincidence that the head of our state said these very words about independence during a meeting with residents returning to the village of Boyuk Galaderesi in Shusha: “Independence is a great blessing, a great achievement. But true independence happens when a country can conduct an independent policy.” Therefore, to conduct an independent policy and protect this policy, the national mobilization potential of the state and the people must be constantly supported.

Here we must also recall the healthy political dialogue environment encouraged in our country directly by the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev. Of course, the active encouragement of a healthy political dialogue environment over the last 5-6 years and the close participation of political parties in the mentioned process is by no means a coincidence. Yes, that is why radicals oppose the political dialogue that serves national mobilization. For this reason alone, those who criticize the dialogue and want to distract others from this process can never be considered national forces. Therefore, the state’s multi-branched initiatives related to political dialogue are not included in the reports of foreign intermediaries and international “democratic” organizations. An environment of solidarity that renders the necessity of speculative intermediaries in politics null and void cannot be in the interests of geopolitical forces that approach our country with predatory intentions. The mentioned fact is also the main reason for the increase in information provocations that have not recognized any moral boundaries in recent times.

We would not want to cite any state or nation as an example for Azerbaijan, which we love more than our lives. However, there are quite a few positive examples in world history that prove the exceptional role played by national ideology in the development of the state and the people. Ideology, which is the main source of effective national mobilization and mobility, fundamentally softens the transformation processes considered relevant for transition periods and directs the potential in society towards development and unified goals. unified goals. Thanks to the economic model called “every individual must work for the sake of the development of the state and society and be ready for ‘sacrifices’ on this path,” which served national mobilization in its time, China is now fighting openly for supremacy in the world. This is the real potential of national unity and mobilization. Complex modern international relations, as well as the trends experienced and the harsh competitive environment prevailing in the world, require our national mobilization to be kept in tone at all times.
