According to the sources, the State Department has conducted a detailed audit of financial flows related to the Syrian state over the past six months. The audit has been completed, and an agreement has been reached within the department regarding the removal of Syria from the list. “There are no other obstacles. Rubio is the last person who needs to sign it,” one of “Al-Monitor’s” interlocutors stated.
