In the Swedish city of Helsingborg, police have detained approximately 20 participants of an anti-NATO demonstration.

According to the information, the detentions occurred after participants of the demonstration organized by the “Shut Down NATO” organization attempted to enter the city center where the meeting of foreign ministers from NATO member countries was being held.
Law enforcement officers searched the protesters. Several of them were taken into police buses.
Prior to this, approximately 150 protesters gathered at Gustaf Adolf Square to protest the ministers’ meeting. It should be noted that the meeting in question is being held two kilometers away from the square. Some protesters wore masks and black hooded clothing, and held banners with anti-NATO slogans.
Demonstrators marched along several streets of the city. Police monitored their movement.
