On October 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the State of Israel Isaac Herzog.
elchi reports that during the meeting, the President of Israel congratulated Azerbaijan on its chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA). President Isaac Herzog highly appreciated Azerbaijan’s continuation of its chairmanship of this organization in 2026-2028 as a manifestation of high trust shown to our country and expressed his satisfaction.
The President of Israel highly commended the work done to expand practical cooperation and strengthen confidence-building measures within the CICA framework during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship.
The head of state expressed his gratitude for the high appreciation of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan, as the presiding country, continues its efforts to strengthen mutual trust and develop practical cooperation among CICA member states.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, as well as on issues on the international and regional agenda.
