US President Donald Trump has announced the launch of the “Alaska LNG” project, which he called the largest energy infrastructure project in Alaska’s history.
According to “Elchi” news, Trump wrote about this on the “Truth Social” social network.
“I was just in Alaska and launched the ‘Alaska LNG’ project, the largest energy infrastructure project in the state’s history,” Trump said.
According to him, South Korea will invest $50 billion in the project as part of a trade and investment agreement concluded with the US administration.
Trump also announced that Taiwan has committed to purchasing $70-80 billion worth of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Alaska over the next 20 years: “This represents 30 percent of the volume of gas transported by pipeline over the next 20 years. This is the largest agreement in history for guaranteed purchases.”
The US President added that Taiwan has agreed to invest $4.4 billion in the project’s capital: “All necessary permits and agreements have been obtained, and the project is ready for implementation. The realization of the project was made possible by its presence in the White House.”
