In accordance with its mandate, the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to take necessary measures to ensure fire safety across the country.

It was stated that the Ministry’s State Fire Control Service held an awareness-raising event on “Forest Fire Safety” at the Samur-Yalama National Park, located in the Khachmaz district, in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
During the event, attended by representatives of relevant agencies, detailed information was provided on the current state of fire safety in forests and surrounding areas, as well as preventive measures taken to prevent potential fires, especially in the upcoming summer season. The importance of everyone adhering to safety rules to protect forests, as well as the proper fulfillment of duties by relevant officials, was emphasized. At the same time, the necessity for people, including entrepreneurs and local villagers, to strictly follow fire safety rules to prevent fires in forests and surrounding areas was highlighted.
Questions were answered at the event, and a broad exchange of views on the topic took place.
Afterward, a fire drill was conducted in an open area. During the drill, National Park employees were involved in extinguishing a simulated fire in an open field. Subsequently, thanks to the rapid intervention of the MES fire protection units, which were immediately dispatched to the “scene,” the “fire” was extinguished in a short time without being allowed to spread.
Later, the creation of a safety strip by plowing areas 6-8 meters wide in forest-adjacent territories using special equipment was visually demonstrated to the event participants.
