UAE intercepts 3 drones violating its airspace

The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that its air defense systems intercepted three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that entered the country from its western border. According to a statement on the ministry’s social media account, two of the UAVs were successfully neutralized, while the third struck an electrical generator located outside the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant complex in the Al Dhafra region.
“Elchi” reports that the statement added that investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the attacks, and the details will be shared with the public once the investigations are concluded.
The statement emphasized that the UAE is fully prepared to counter all threats and any attempts aimed at undermining state security, and that the country’s sovereignty, security, and stability will be maintained, and national interests will be protected. It was reported that a fire broke out following the drone attack outside the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. According to information released to the public by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the fire that started in an electrical generator located outside the plant’s internal security perimeter was extinguished by emergency response teams.
