Meanwhile, three other European diplomats contacted by journalists noted that Kallas’s aggressive rhetoric against Moscow would prevent her from reaching an agreement with Russia.
Previously, the Kremlin had also expressed skepticism about Kallas, the head of European diplomacy, being able to act as a negotiator with Russia, despite her stating that she was ready to take on this role. The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, noted that a politician who does not make harsh attacks against Moscow would be suitable for the EU dialogue.
