Application submission for residency for the 2026/2027 academic year has started from today.
elchi reports that the State Examination Center has released information regarding this.
It is stated that the application submission for participation in residency entrance exams is conducted via the internet.
“After creating a “Personal cabinet” on the Center’s website at ekabinet.dim.gov.az, the candidate adds the required amount (60 AZN) to their account to participate in the 1st attempt of the 1st stage of residency admission (the exam for assessing knowledge of basic subjects). You can familiarize yourself with payment methods to add funds to the account at the epayment.dim.gov.az website.
Using the username and password of their “Personal cabinet“, the candidate accesses the relevant page of the Center’s website (https://www.e-gov.az/az/services/read/3148/2) from April 13 to April 20, 2026, at 23:59, fills out the “Candidate’s electronic application” form, and confirms it.
The 1st attempt of the exam for assessing knowledge of basic subjects is planned to be held on May 3, 2026.
Candidates who have obtained a “pass” result in the 1st stage of residency admission (the exam for assessing knowledge of basic subjects) in previous years also fill out the “Candidate’s electronic application” form to participate in the 2nd stage of residency admission (the exam for assessing knowledge of specialty subjects) and confirm the application by registering in the relevant section. Candidates admitted to the exam for assessing knowledge of specialty subjects must add the required amount (100 AZN) to their “Personal cabinet” accounts and register within the period determined by the Center (planned for July 22-30, 2026).
2 hours and 30 minutes are allotted for answering the exam questions. Candidates who receive a “pass” (score 40 or higher) in the exam for assessing knowledge of basic subjects are admitted to the exam for assessing knowledge of specialty subjects.
The full text of the admission announcement has been published in the 2nd issue of the “Residency” journal. This issue of the journal provides explanations and recommendations for test tasks in specialty subjects, as well as sample test tasks to assist candidates. At the same time, the competition conditions, the rules for filling out the “Candidate’s electronic application,” and its sample are also published in this issue of the “Residency” journal.
The electronic version of the journal (in PDF format) can be obtained by making a payment through the “Online sale of electronic versions of SEC publications” service.
