Former US Deputy Secretary of Defense Michael Malroy stated that Washington is expected to launch a comprehensive second wave of attacks against Iran, targeting its ballistic missile arsenals.
“Elchi” reports that Malroy noted in his statement that the operation is still in its initial stages.
Malroy stated that in the first phase, Iran’s air and missile defense systems have been largely neutralized to achieve air superiority.
The former official stated that, “Now we will see a broader wave. The target of these attacks will be ballistic missile arsenals and strategic military assets that the US and Israel want to deplete as much as possible before the operation ends.”
Air superiority has been achieved
Analysts note that air superiority has been achieved over Tehran after the first wave of attacks.
According to Malroy, the main goal of the operation is to completely eliminate Iran’s retaliation capability and systematically neutralize its ballistic missile infrastructure.
