The Ministry of Emergency Situations has appealed to the public regarding fire safety in connection with Fire Tuesday.

It was stated that today our people celebrate Fire Tuesday in connection with the arrival of Novruz, which embodies our national and spiritual values. However, failure to comply with fire safety rules during ceremonies held on this Tuesday, especially when lighting bonfires, can lead to our holiday joy ending with undesirable and bitter consequences. The incidents that occurred last Tuesday are clear proof of this.
In connection with the above, the Ministry of Emergency Situations once again appeals to the public, urging strict adherence to fire safety rules during the organization and conduct of Novruz holiday ceremonies, including the lighting of bonfires. Thus,
– holiday bonfires should be lit away from buildings, cars, electrical wires, trees, and other flammable objects;
– minors gathered around the bonfire must be under the supervision of adults;
– caution should be exercised when jumping over the bonfire;
– the bonfire should be kept under control until it is completely extinguished;
– candles lit on tables should not be left unattended.
Also, it should be noted that lighting bonfires in windy weather conditions is considered particularly dangerous.
“Remember: the use of pyrotechnic devices is prohibited! Do not forget: Indifference to rules – is a danger to our lives! In case of danger, call 112!” – the statement said.
