Hotel’s activity suspended in Biləcəri

The State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to take necessary measures within its powers to ensure fire safety in the country.

This was reported to elchi by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Within this framework, during an inspection conducted by the State Fire Control Service at the hotel operating at the address: 17 Rashid Ismayilov street, Biləcəri settlement, Binəqədi district, Baku city, a number of shortcomings in the field of fire safety were identified. Namely:

– the automatic fire alarm device at the facility is out of order;
– a preventive inspection of the electrical system has not been carried out and a relevant act has not been drawn up;
– the facility is not fully equipped with initial fire extinguishing means;
– wooden structures have not been impregnated with fire-resistant solution;
– evacuation routes are blocked with various materials;
– construction project documents were not agreed with the State Fire Control Service during the major repair, reconstruction and expansion of the facility.

Thus, the current situation shows that the continuation of the facility’s operation will inevitably lead to a tragedy, as any fire that may occur there at any moment will quickly spread and become unavoidable.

Taking into account the above, a Decision was made to suspend the activity of the hotel located at the address: 17 Rashid Ismayilov street, Biləcəri settlement, Binəqədi district, Baku city, where gross violations of fire safety norms and rules were revealed, and one copy of the Decision was presented to the representative of the facility.
