“From January 1, 2027, the relevant tax benefits will come into force. From that date, the registration process for technoparks will be carried out in a simplified manner.”
elchi reports that Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, stated this in a statement to journalists.
He noted that enterprises registered in technoparks, ICT enterprises, will be exempt from taxes on property and land, as well as income, profit, and dividends for a period of 10 years.
“Our main goal here is to further strengthen the ICT sector in the country, diversify the non-oil sector in our country, and create a favorable environment for attracting more investment by ICT enterprises in our country, as well as for promoting our country’s ICT exports.
It should be noted that, at the same time, tax benefits are also envisaged as a result of investments within the framework of attracting investments in the form of investment attractiveness, crowdfunding, mass financing, and investments by venture funds.
At the same time, the innovations brought by the legislation have been enshrined in law regarding the incentives for the entry, registration, and technopark residency of highly qualified specialists, whom we call “digital nomads,” and their exemption from taxes.
One of the important directions is precisely the tax benefits derived from the investments made by ICT enterprises working on the formation of startups and innovative products and services in research and development, and legislation has been established for their participation in public procurement on preferential terms.
