The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Romania summoned the Russian ambassador and expressed its strong protest regarding the provocation committed in Brasov on September 14.
“Elchi” reports that the head of the Romanian MFA, Dan Neculescu, announced this on the social network “X”.
He noted that the existing evidence confirms Russia’s responsibility for the hybrid attack.
“We also condemned Russia’s systematic attacks on merchant ships in the Black Sea – a deliberate escalation that violates international law, freedom of navigation, and has global consequences,” the minister added.
According to the Romanian special services, the fire that occurred on September 14 in the Carfil industrial zone of Brasov city was related to a suspected provocation. The investigation believes that individuals acting within a network directed from Russia were involved in the incident.
