Houthis Claim to Have Repelled Attack in Bab al-Mandab

The Houthis, from Yemen’s “Ansar Allah” movement, have announced that they repelled an attack by Saudi-backed forces in the southern part of the Bab al-Mandab strait.

elchi reports that this claim was made by the rebels’ military spokesman, Yahya Saria.

“Our armed forces (as the Houthis refer to their units) have repelled an attack attempt by the Saudi enemy from the southern direction of the Bab al-Mandab strait,” stated Saria in a message published on his Telegram channel.

According to the Ansar Allah representative, the operation was led by Saudi officer Badr al-Harbi from the operations headquarters in Aden. Saria’s version suggests that the Houthis struck enemy concentrations using ballistic missiles and heavy weapons. As a result of the attack, several vehicles were destroyed, and the attacking forces suffered significant losses, including dead and wounded.
