Louvre and metro stations to close due to protests in France

Protests are expected in France tomorrow, which could turn into riots and looting. Due to the action, 24 metro stations in Paris and major museums, especially the Louvre, will be closed.

elchi reports that “Sortir à Paris” announced this.

Security measures in the city will be strengthened.

The march is planned to start at 14:00 local time (16:00 Baku time) at Place de la Bastille, with the participation of students and trade unions expected.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez stated: “While being wary of illegal protests, we will deploy 70,000 police and security forces tomorrow to maintain public order. We are monitoring social networks, where there are calls from radical leftists for attacks on state institutions. We are not talking about peaceful protest. We are ready to act decisively tomorrow and show no tolerance for violations of public order.”
