Qatar is continuing contacts at all levels as a mediator to resolve the crisis in the region and open the Strait of Hormuz.
elchi reports that this was stated by Ibrahim Sultan Al-Hashmi, Director of the Media and Communications Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Emirate.
“Contacts and visits have not ceased, and the exchange of letters has not stopped, with the aim of reaching a solution as soon as possible,” he said at a briefing for journalists.
According to the diplomat, Doha is in favor of an immediate and sustainable resolution of the crisis solely through dialogue and negotiations. “The sooner we reach a solution, the more we will protect the region, the world, the global economy, and energy supply from the consequences of this tension,” Al-Hashmi noted. He added that the Qatari side maintains its optimism and takes into account all factors for “ending the crisis, opening the Strait of Hormuz, and ending the tension.”
