Aqil Alasgar Awarded with Tokayev Order at International Conference in Kazakhstan – PHOTOS

Member of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Press Council, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Internet Media Association, and Head of the “Yeni Çağ” Media Group, Aqil Alasgar, participated in an international conference in Kazakhstan.

elchi reports that the event, held in Almaty, was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the world-renowned Kazakh poet and public figure Olzhas Suleimenov, within the framework of the IX International Conference “Support for the Culture of Knowledge.”

The conference, themed “Intellectual History of Central Asia in the Second Half of the 20th Century,” serves as an important international platform for the in-depth study of the scientific, historical-cultural ties of Central Asia and the Turkic world, and for transmitting their intellectual heritage to future generations.

Within the conference, Aqil Alasgar met with representatives of media and civil society from the Turkic world and presented Azerbaijan’s significant position in the Turkic world during discussions.

During his visit, Aqil Alasgar was awarded the “Kemal Ata Kemenger” Order named after Kemal Tokayev for his contributions to the development of media and civil society in the Turkic world, as well as for strengthening friendly relations.

The award was presented to the journalist by Saltanat Ashimova, Deputy Director of the UNESCO Center for the Approximation of Cultures, headed by Olzhas Suleimenov.

It should be recalled that Kemal Tokayev, after whom the order is named, is the father of the renowned Kazakh writer, World War II participant, and current President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
