Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has spoken out against former general Ofer Vinter, who criticized the government and the army following the elimination of a Hamas brigade commander in Rafah.
According to elchi, he stated that Vinter and other former military officials who criticize the government prefer an outdated approach to security issues and, according to him, do not take into account Israel’s achievements in Iran, Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
The minister also stated that a security zone has been formed in the Gaza sector under the control of the Israeli army, and pinpoint operations against the Hamas leadership are continuing. Katz additionally noted that although he had previously considered the possibility of appointing Vinter as the head of the administration for migration issues from Gaza, he later abandoned this candidacy.
