Problems occurred in the movement of trains in all directions of the Baku Metro during the morning hours.
“Elchi” reports that, according to witnesses, the movement of trains was stopped for more than 15 minutes.
Witnesses also reported that the entrance to the Gara Garayev station was closed. It is noted that passengers were offloaded from trains at some stations.
“Baku Metropolitan” CJSC stated that a malfunction occurred in a train at the entrance area of the “Icherisheher” station. For this reason, a support train is being provided to remove the faulty train from the line. The interval on the Red line will be restored in a short time.
Trains on the Green and Purple lines are operating according to the schedule; there are no dangerous or serious issues of concern.
The organization added that a statement regarding the matter will be issued.
