elchi reports that this was stated by Eshgi Bagirov, Director of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education, while speaking at the September conference of education workers.
He noted that compared to the previous year, more than 6,000 additional places have been announced, bringing the total number of places to 112,000.
Eshgi Bagirov stated that after public kindergartens, the second main model is the organization of school preparatory groups.
According to him, this project, which has been implemented since 2016, ensures the school readiness of five-year-old children in general education institutions: “High results have been achieved in this direction across the country as well. Thus, this year, the number of admission places has been increased from 85,000 to 104,000. Opportunities have been created for 93 percent of five-year-old children to be covered by school preparatory education. The second model applied to expand the scope of preschool education is the school preparatory groups operating in general education institutions. This is the highest indicator recorded in recent years.”
