The first day of the diplomatic corps’ visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur has concluded

On the first day of the visit of representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan to Karabakh and East Zangezur, a number of locations in the cities of Khankendi and Shusha were inspected.

elchi reports that, in accordance with the visit program, the representatives of the diplomatic corps first familiarized themselves with the work carried out at the Khankendi Railway and Bus Station Complex.

The participants were informed about the work done at the complex.

Afterward, the Culture Center in Khankendi was visited. Here, Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, greeted the participants of the visit. The representatives of the diplomatic corps visited the “Zafar” (Victory) Park and took a commemorative photo in front of the Victory Arch. Within the framework of the visit, they also got acquainted with Karabakh University. The participants were informed about the conditions created at the university and its activities.

Later, the representatives of the diplomatic corps visited the sewing factory of “AzCotton” LLC operating in Khankendi and familiarized themselves with the enterprise’s activities. The visit continued in the city of Shusha. The representatives of the diplomatic corps were informed about the restoration and construction work being carried out in the city.

The diplomats inspected the construction of the New Shusha Mosque. Then, Jidir Duzu, Karabakh Street, and the central square of Shusha, as well as “Sadigjan’s House” and the Upper Govhar Agha Mosque were visited. The bullet-riddled busts located in the central square of Shusha were also inspected. The diplomats got acquainted with the “Heydar Aliyev and Karabakh” exhibition at the Shusha Creative Center.

Subsequently, a visit was made to the Shusha fortress walls, and a commemorative photo was taken in front of them. The representatives of the diplomatic corps familiarized themselves with the conditions created in the first residential neighborhood and met with the residents of Shusha. The participants of the visit attended an official reception organized in Shusha on the occasion of the Independence Day of the United Mexican States.
