At the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart, a delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, arrived in the city of Turkistan, Kazakhstan, on an official visit on September 10.

It was stated that during the bilateral meeting with the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan, Berik Asylov, the host expressed his satisfaction with the high level of consistently expanding cooperation between our states across various directions, particularly the close and effective relations formed between the prosecution authorities.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev expressed his gratitude to his counterpart for the high hospitality and warm reception, emphasizing that the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, founded by the National Leader of our people Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, are consistently developing in political, economic, trade, transport, cultural, and other fields.
The Prosecutor General stated that the political will of the leaders of the two countries and their relations based on mutual trust contribute significantly to the further strengthening of the strategic partnership and alliance ties between our states. In this regard, he noted that the “Declaration on Strengthening Strategic Relations and Deepening Allied Interaction between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan,” signed in Baku on August 24, 2022, is an important milestone in the development of bilateral relations. Noting that this process also creates a fertile ground for cooperation between the prosecution authorities, Kamran Aliyev emphasized the importance of mutual activities carried out both within bilateral relations and within the framework of multilateral platforms and international organizations, and expressed his confidence that the existing cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two countries will continue to develop sustainably in the future.
The Prosecutor General also specifically emphasized the support provided by brotherly Kazakhstan to the large-scale construction and restoration work carried out in our territories liberated from occupation after the historic Victory won in the 44-day Patriotic War. He noted the opening of the Kurmangazy Children’s Creativity Center built in Fuzuli as a gift from the people of Kazakhstan to the people of Azerbaijan on March 12, 2024, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as a clear example of the strong friendship and brotherhood relations between our countries and peoples.
At the same time, he assessed the fact that the heads of state became acquainted with the project of the Central District Hospital to be built in Fuzuli on that date, and the participation of a Kazakh company in the implementation of this project, as an indicator of the successful continuation of cooperation between the two countries in the direction of reviving the liberated territories.
During the meeting, discussions were held on a number of issues of mutual interest, and an exchange of views took place regarding the prospective directions of cooperation and priorities for future activities.
Later, on September 11, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev participated in the 5th meeting of the Council of Prosecutors General of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States in the city of Turkistan.
In his speech, the Prosecutor General expressed his gratitude to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Asylov, for the high-level organization of the important event. He spoke on the role of prosecution authorities in ensuring the rule of law in the field of urban planning and architecture as one of the priority directions of state policy implemented in the Republic of Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
The Prosecutor General noted that as our country develops economically, the face of our cities has also changed and modernized. In parallel with this, Azerbaijan also treats the protection of its historical architectural heritage and traditions with special sensitivity.
As a clear example of this, one can point to the restoration of our cultural and historical monuments in our lands liberated from occupation, as well as the implementation of new infrastructure construction by being guided by the requirements of our architectural heritage. It was specifically noted that the cities of Karabakh are being rebuilt at the level of modern standards with the close participation of brotherly Turkic states. In addition, our country is also taking this experience to the international scale.
Thus, this year, our capital hosted the Thirteenth Session of the UN World Urban Forum and demonstrated its commitment to supporting global efforts in this sphere, as in other areas. Speaking about the long-term and multi-faceted effects of the decisions taken in the field of urban planning, the Prosecutor General informed the event participants about the complex measures taken by the prosecution authorities in this process.
Within the framework of the event, a bilateral meeting was also held with the delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Türkiye, Muhsin Şentürk. At the meeting, it was emphasized that the historical brotherly relations between our countries, especially the friendly relations between our heads of state Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stand at the foundation of the strengthening of the unity of the Turkic world. Later, an exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest regarding cooperation between the prosecution authorities, as well as the organization of joint international events.
The delegation’s visit continues. It is planned to hold meetings with delegations from a number of countries within the framework of the event.
