The 5th round of the Azerbaijan Premier League has started.
“Elchi” reports that on the opening day of the round, Neftchi faced Imishli away.
The match, held at the Yevlakh City Stadium, ended in a 3-2 victory for the capital representative. In the match officiated by head referee Kamranbay Rahimov, the goals for the “black and whites” were scored by Freddy Vargas (12th minute), Breno Almeida (28), and Gustavo Clisman (80).
For the hosts, Bakhtiyar Hasanalizada (29) and Azer Salahli (45+7) scored.
After this result, the “black and whites” led by Yuriy Vernydub strengthened their lead in the standings with 12 points, while Imishli, coached by Farid Namazov, sits in 8th place with 4 points.
Note that other matches of the round will be held on September 12, 13, and 14.
