Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that they have taken a historic step within the framework of the “Terror-Free Turkey” process. According to “Haber Global”, the Turkish leader said this during his speech at the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) meeting held in Rize.
He noted that the result achieved within the framework of the “Terror-Free Turkey” process is an indicator of an important political agreement:
“As Turkey, we have taken a historic step on this path. As a result of the agreement reached with an unprecedented 467 votes, we were given very strong support. Our nation demonstrated a determined stance regarding not bringing the issue of terror to the agenda ever again.”
Erdoğan called on all parties to act with common sense and emphasized the importance of avoiding steps that would aggravate the sensitive points of society.
“Everyone should act with common sense and take into account the sensitivity of society. It is necessary to refrain from providing material to those who expect to benefit from Turkey’s stumbling. If we retreat from this position, our country will lose years of golden value,” the Turkish President noted.
It should be recalled that on August 8, the relevant commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) approved the draft law on “Terror-Free Turkey”.
