President Ilham Aliyev has approved the “Contribution Agreement” between the Government of Azerbaijan and the UN Human Settlements Programme for the implementation of the project “Towards smart, sustainable and inclusive settlements in the Eastern Zangezur economic region – Integrated territorial planning for sustainable urban development”.
“Elchi” reports that the head of state has signed a new decree in this regard.
The agreement was signed on July 15 of this year in New York, USA. After the document enters into force, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture must ensure the implementation of its provisions, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must send a notification to the Programme’s Secretariat regarding the completion of the necessary internal state procedures.
