The recent increase in road traffic accidents, especially those accompanied by severe consequences, makes it necessary to approach road safety more seriously and responsibly. Behind every serious accident lies a human life, families losing their loved ones, and sometimes the long-lasting, severe consequences of a momentary wrong decision.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated in the appeal of the Main State Traffic Police Department (BDYPİ) to drivers.
It was noted that exceeding speed limits, dangerous overtaking and maneuvers, failure to maintain a proper distance, as well as distraction behind the wheel significantly increase the risk of road traffic accidents. A wrong decision on the road or a few seconds of inattention can lead to an irreversible tragedy.
“Safety in road traffic begins with the responsible behavior of every driver. Risk-taking, haste, or momentary carelessness for the sake of reaching the destination quickly can endanger the lives of both the driver and other road users. We once again call on all drivers to strictly follow traffic rules, and to be attentive, patient, and responsible behind the wheel. Do not let a moment of haste or carelessness turn into a lifetime of regret. Remember that there are loved ones waiting for you at the end of every trip!”, the appeal emphasized.
