Azerbaijan has taken important steps towards advancing the peace process with Armenia.
elchi reports that Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated this to journalists in Baku during the high-level opening ceremony of the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The minister noted that, according to the joint statement signed in Washington, a number of steps are planned to be taken to finalize the process after the initialing of the peace agreement.
“As noted in the joint statement signed in Washington, after the initialing of the peace agreement, the necessary steps must be taken to complete the process. One of these is holding a referendum in Armenia and making amendments to the constitution.
We are receiving various messages from Armenia regarding this. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is also giving new messages about the plans. Our position on this subject remains unchanged. These listed points are essential for the signing of the peace agreement,” emphasized Jeyhun Bayramov.
